“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference!” ~ Winston Churchill
So, you just had something happen that did not go as planned! Now what do you do? You could blame yourself or others. You could simply give up. You could examine the situation and find out all that went wrong and caused this “train wreck.” Or, you could step back, shift to the right, and take another look at what you have and what you can do next.
I know it sounds simplistic, but it really isn’t. It is just simple! As Henry David Thoreau said, “It is not what you look at that matters, it is what you see.” You choose to see the negative, or you choose to see the positive.
- You look at the mess your decisions have created, and you choose to see what you can do right.
- You look at your dwindling finances, and you choose to see what you can do with what you have.
- You look at a broken relationship, and you choose to see what you can do to make it better.
- You look at a loved one’s bad decisions, and you choose to see what you can do to help them make wise decisions.
Yes, I know this is not always easy, but let me ask you, how hard is it on you and those around you when you are thinking negatively. I have never met a happy negative person! No, they are tired, grumpy, downcast, and not much fun to be around.
If you will choose to see the positive, rather than the negative, I promise you will find your way to do things that will make a positive difference in your life and those around you.
Go ahead. Give it a try for 7 days. I dare you!
Wherever your day takes you, go there with a smile and a can-do attitude. Make it a great day!
Thanks for investing your time reading my thinking!
